This aircraft restoration is in the final stage.  Aircraft has been assembled and the 200HP Ranger engine has been installed.  Waiting for the propeller and final adjustments. This aircraft comes with a current license and airworthiness certificate.

•     Fairchild 6-440 Series

•     Engine overhauled in 2002. Crankshaft and connecting rods were magnafluxed.  Cylinders overhauled by Harrison Engine Service, LaPorte, IN.  New  main and connecting rod bearings.  Overhauled magnetos, starter, generator and regulator.  Engine was placed in storage waiting recovering the aircraft. 

   

MISCELLANEOUS

•     Over 2000 engineering drawings for the PT 19, 23 & 26 aircraft included.

•     Maintenance and pilot manuals and some paper drawings included.

•     Complete logs from Oct 2, 1952. Aircraft was certified for civil use on July 22, 1945. The log book from July 22, 1945 to October 2, 1952 has been lost.  Our log # 1 has a statement as to hours, from lost log, from a previous owner. There is no documentation of any major damage. 10 " tail wheel installed Feb. 20, 1962.  This aircraft has the enclosed cockpit as used on the PT-26.
